Emily Keenan Soccer Scholarship Program
In 2018, the Kingdom family lost one of our founding players, Emily Keenan, at just 21 years of age. In memory of her spirit and passion, we have created the Emily Keenan Scholarship Program and the Emily Keenan Memorial Field, and we welcome the community to honor her memory by donating to these programs, which will help to improve the lives of our Kingdom athletes for years to come.
We have created The Emily Keenan Memorial Scholarship to honor both her passion and skill for soccer, as well as the attributes that made her so special. We will be awarding two scholarships annually, and these athletes and outstanding citizens will be awarded $1000 to attend a four-year school, community college, or a trade school.
Criteria for the Emily Keenan Memorial Scholarships include:
- Current Kingdom Club team member
- Senior in high school
- Demonstrates a contribution to others
- A kind and giving spirit
- Passion: Whether it be soccer, teaching, science of the arts, volunteering, or mentoring… generally making a positive difference in the world
Each year, KIC coaches will nominate two girls and two boys who are seniors in high school from each of their teams. A committee has been established made up of family members and friends who will select the recipients of the scholarship.
Please help us in honoring the memory of Emily Keenan with a donation to help fund this Memorial Scholarship.
